Richard Pignatiello

 

To say that Richard Pignatiello excelled at weightlifting is an understatement. He competed in power lifting, squats, the dead lift, and the bench press. In just one day he was able to achieve the following.
Richard earned the title of, “Junior Ohio State Power Lifting Champion,” after dead lifting 640 pounds, squaring 700 pounds, and bench pressing 405 pounds. For hisefforts he was named, “Outstanding Junior Lifter,” in the state of Ohio, as well as the, “Senior Ohio State Power Lifting Champion,” and, “Outstanding Senior Lifter, in the state of Ohio.
Richard’s squat of a whopping 700 pounds was a new state record and was the eleventh best in the United States, qualifying him for the National Championships.
Professionally, Richard was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November of 1982 after receiving his juris doctorate degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He also completed his Masters in Tax Law from the University of Miami, Florida, and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Finally, Richard was elected Councilman of Ward 3 in Seven Hills for three terms and served as Council President for two terms. He has served as the City’s Law Director since his election in 1995.
