David Jacklitch

If David Jacklitch isn’t faster than a speeding bullet, then he is close.  Jacklitch in his prime was a dual threat – a track and field star and a basketball phenom.   While many play more than one sport, few excel one, much less two.  An 100 yard dash?  It took the 1948 All Ohio track star all of 9.8 seconds.  A 220 yard dash?  Well that took a whole 21.8 seconds; it was a race he lost once in three years at college.  Basketball?  Decades and decades after his playing career at Cleveland State was over, he still ranked among the top 15 all-time scorers.   And it only took him three seasons to accomplish that.  He’s spent over sixty years playing and supporting sports.  A resident of Seven Hills for 42 years, David doesn’t let his age slow him down – he still participates in weekly bowling leagues.
