Jack Squirek

It’s the standard childhood dream:  the game is on the line, all eyes on you, and you make the play that wins it all.  Except for Jack Squirek, that moment was more than just a dream.  Squirek was a linebacker in the NFL from 1982-1986.  But it was one play for Squirek that reverberates far beyond confines of Seven Hills.  Squirek captivated a nation on January 22, 1984, intercepting a Joe Theisman pass and returning it for a touchdown, which secured a Super Bowl win for the Raiders, and cemented Squirek in NFL lore.  That play catapulted Squirek to a place any athlete would want to be:  the cover of Sports Illustrated.  Now past his NFL playing days, Squirek owns and operates his own office cleaning company, Squirek Services.
